Wildlife Safari and Beach Holiday

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by the driver from Drive Kenya Ltd and help you carry the luggage and go to meet the car. You’ll do the paperwork and car inspection just there at the airport and later you will be handed the car keys and start your self-drive safari in Kenya, as you have the first drive in Kenya you will enjoy the first glimpse of African life. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to visit the Karen Blixen Museum or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage.
Day 2: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara
The second day of this amazing safari will start with an early breakfast at the hotel in Nairobi, and then you start your journey westwards to the Masai Mara found approximately 240km from Nairobi. You will reach there afternoon have lunch and embark on your first game drive in the reserve. In the evening, you will gather around the campfire at our lodge.
Day 3: Explore Masai Mara
Today, after breakfast, you will enjoy a full day of exploring Massai Mara Game Reserve that will start with a morning game drive taking us to the Mara River to witness the renowned migration in case you do safari during the autumn months. Wildebeest migration is where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the river—a truly unique experience. The Masai Mara is teeming with African wildlife, offering an incredible array of animals that will leave you in awe.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Today early morning, you will prepare for a 4-hour drive from Masia Mara to Lake Naivasha, a haven for bird enthusiasts. The lake is home to approximately 400 bird species, and you can explore the riverbanks up close on a boat tour upon arrival. In the evening, you’ll relax in your lodge with a stunning lake view.
Day 5: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
On this day you will start with an early morning breakfast and get ready to leave Lake Naivasha with an en-route game drive in the park as you head to Amboseli National Park, nestled at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Africa’s tallest mountain. In the afternoon, you will visit a Maasai village to learn more about the nomadic lifestyle and their traditional natural medicines derived from local trees and bushes.
Day 6: Explore Amboseli National Park
On this day, you will have breakfast and then get ready to enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli National Park. The day will be filled with a lot of animal observation in this great landscape because the park is blessed with a variety of animals like; elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, lions, hyenas, and many others.
Day 7: Drive to Tsavo National Park
Today, you will start with breakfast get ready to hit the road, and head to Tsavo, the western part of the park will be your next destination. The lava formations of Mzima Springs and the Shetani lava flows create a stunning, rugged landscape in Tsavo West. This savannah ecosystem features open grasslands, bushlands, acacia forests, riverine vegetation belts, and rocky ridges.
Day 8: Full Day to Explore Tsavo West National Park
Today, we are spending the whole day exploring Tsavo West National Park. Your safari in Tsavo West includes visiting Poacher’s Lookout, where you can enjoy the bustling herds on the plains below. Tsavo West is famous for its amazing wildlife-watching opportunities, among the animals, you will spot in the park are elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, and various plant and bird species. Among the avian highlights are the endangered corncrake and the endangered Basra sedge warbler. You will return to the late afternoon to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Day 9: Transfer to Diani Beach
After enjoying breakfast, you will get ready to leave Tsavo West National Park and drive about 5 hours to Diani Beach. As you drive to the park exit, you will have one final opportunity to observe the wildlife in the park as you drive on well-maintained roads through Mombasa.
Days 10 – 13: Sun and beach on the Indian Ocean
The next 3 days, will be spent at Diani Beach, where you can relax, soak up the sun, and choose from various excursions. A highly recommended activity is a dhow tour of the Misite Marine National Park. You’ll sail on a traditional dhow, watch dolphins, and explore the stunning underwater world while snorkeling. At lunchtime, enjoy fresh seafood on one of the islands, and later, take a walk through the coral garden to visit the slave caves in Shimoni.
